Early on it was a center for shipbuilding and a popular spot for bay fishing.
Today Old Town main street is lined with art galleries, funky shops and a few restaurants. Summer months bring tourists from the north for the beaches and shopping. Winter season attracts RVers like us for the milder climate.
This shop displays the colors and Lone Star of the Texas Flag.
A kite shop to take on the gulf breezes.
Funky Zebra and Flying Pig
are some unusual shop names that attract the shoppers.
Historic Building built in 1886 is now the site of an art gallery.
