Medora, North Dakota Musical

The 50th anniversary of the Medora Musical was playing at the
 Burning Hills Amphitheatre.
 
 North Dakota is celebrating 125 year anniversary of statehood.
 
 
 
The musical started at 7:30 PM to take advantage of evening light.
 
 
The opening act presented the cast of energetic Burning Hill Singers from all parts of the country.  The music was provided by The Coal Diggers.
 
 
The show was hosted by the Queen of the West Emily Walter. She made a dramatic entrance riding a horse on stage.
 

Wednesday's performance was kid's night.  All children were invited on stage to receive an American Flag.


 
As the sun starts to set each dancer sang a solo.

Gospel was part of the program. The singers did several styles of dancing including tap, square, line and swing.
 
 
The intermission entertainment was the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team.  They were big hit with the audience doing multiple jump roping and high flying leaps.
 
 
A young boy volunteered to help in the act.
 


 
Several Western songs were part of the show.
 
 
A tribute to Theodore Roosevelt and brave Rough Riders.



 
Patriotic music and song was the finale of the show.
