This dog owner was showing her prize pet, a mixed
American Great Dane and Russian Euro. Dog weighs about 150 lbs.
Salem is the Capitol of Oregon.
Oregon was the 33rd state admitted to the Union in 1859.
The Capitol Dome is topped with a
gold plated statue of an Oregon Pioneer.
The Riverfront Park is home of a civic pride project. In 2001, the community raised $2 million to build this carousel.
Artists and woodcarvers volunteered their time to handcraft this beauty.
It even has a brass ring for riders to grab for a prize.
For our European friends, you have a wonderful carousel in Honfleur, France.
The Williamette River Queen is docked next to the park for tours of the river.
