St George Utah

St. George is the home to the Latter Day Saints Temple
 commenced 1871 and dedicated 1877

Brigham Young, religious leader, settler and politician
had this Tabernacle built in 1871.

Center of downtown activities.

Cool rain day for marathon race downtown.

Homes on Main Street where Marathon was held.

The Lover's Gate.
The locks you see represent couples who declare their love for each other. It is a custom started in Asia and Europe.  We saw similar locks in France and Italy on past trips.

Homes on hills surround the city.

Cloudy day in our campground.

This is an unusual street to access our parking spot.

Our neighbor was a movie theater building.

  2. even tho it says wolftrucking this is actually Ann using Brian's computer. I love to see all the places you go and I will probably would have never seen these beautiful places if it was not for your blogging. I love the old churches mainly the ones with the statues in them. The Catholic Church is getting away from the old way and the churches are now quite plain.
