Riquewihr is a small walled village surround by vineyards. You can still see parts of the drawbridge.
Most homes are built of stone and these particular houses are built into the fortified walls.
Bennwihr village was completely destroyed during WWII. This statue of two girls, represent the Alsace and Lorraine Regions, was the only thing that survived.
Entering the village of Ribeauville, we spotted a stork in it's nest.

This made to order sandwich and berry tart hit the spot on our picnic.
Overheard a gentlemen asked the owner the breed of his dog. The reply was.... French Poodle!!..... and walked away.
