Williamston, North Carolina

Williamston is located in NE North Carolina
on the Coastal Plain to the Atlantic Ocean.

The Asa Bigg's house was built in 1831.
He was a US Senator, Congressman and
Federal & Confederate Judge

The old Federal Courthouse where Judge Diggs presided
is under renovated.

First floor has been completed.

The unusual courtroom has an elevated
floor for spectators.

People waiting on the town square
for music entertainment.

The Carolina Country Festival was being held downtown.

Homemade ice cream being made by a John Deere.

Main Street lined with vendors.

Gospel, Country and hard rock music was featured.

Farm Country Campground was our home base.  First time parking on grass in
a farmer's field surrounded by peanut and cotton crops.

Watching the cotton grow.  Note the street sign...Ed's Grocery Rd.

Of course.....what is on Ed's Grocery Road  besides the campground....
 the old local grocery store.
