St. Simons Island, Georgia


St. Simons is one of the Golden Isles off the coast 
from Brunswick, Georgia.



Christ Episcopal Church located next to Wesley Gardens. Important landmark
built in 1884.


Fort Frederica was established in 1736 to help protect the new colony of Georgia
from the Spanish in Florida 85 miles away.


Foundation of a tavern and private home 
which shared a common wall located adjacent to the fort.




On the other end of the Island is Pier Village and the St. Simons Lighthouse.


Historic slave cabin originally located on Hamilton Plantation is constructed of
tabby concrete made with seashells.
